Ive had an idea for a fantasy/medieval fic, an epiphany if you will. (Forgive me if this is inaccurate from a historical standpoint; I was eepy and refused to do any research before getting 8 hours of sleep)

What if, in a kingdom of knights and peasants and royalty, there lived a feared (but kind and generous) king? A king who has leveled battlefields, mended relations between allies, and whose kingdom is so prosperous that all commonfolk live comfortably. Many have sought to wed the king. Suitors from various other kingdoms travel to a grand palace to only be met with of what looks to be several royal adivsers and... a jester?

Many suitors are in disbelief when said jester clad in a oversized jangly hat, checkered bodysuit, and a variety of barely-concealed pointy weapons, politely and very happily says, "No." Many nobles and knights are too stunned, but the rest like to voice their opinions in a way that isnt very pleasant..... just jangly blorbo that's courting the king and has to deal with unworthy suitors getting in the way.

So… What Even Is a Literary Specialist?

Hey. I figured I’d start here, with a quick intro.

I’m a literary specialist, which is basically a fancy title for someone who works closely with writers to help shape their stories, figure out what’s working (and what’s not), and guide projects toward their best possible form. I read a lot, edit a lot, ask questions, and say “okay but why is this character doing that?” probably more than anyone should.

I work with people at all stages, early-draft dreamers, stuck-in-the-middle wanderers, almost-there revisers, and those beautiful souls who’ve taken a break and are trying to come back to the page. (Yes, you still count as a writer. Always.)

This blog is where I’ll share thoughts on storytelling, the ups and downs of the creative process, behind-the-scenes lit world stuff, and small nudges for anyone who needs a reminder that the work matters. I might throw in writing prompts or just some low-stakes encouragement.

If you’re writing, whether it’s three words or three books, you’re in the right place.

*I love the politics of the hunger games (arguably first and foremost), but l equally love it for its characters and story.

*I've said it before and l'll say it again: I was a Haymitch Abernathy x "his girl" Lenore Dove truther for a long ass time.

*I do not like Tbosas as much as I like the original trilogy!

*Unashamed maker and lover of Hunger Games/Panem OCs, as well as fanfic, AUs, etc etc.

*Sunrise on the Reaping genuinely means so much to me, even before l've read it. I wanna elaborate in its own dedicated post, but even if I somehow end up hating the book, I will always love it in concept and the time spent from June 2024-March 2025.
